History

Established in 2005 by local bankers and community leaders, Valley Bank of Nevada is the first bank chartered and headquartered in North Las Vegas, Nevada. The bank was originally named Bank of North Las Vegas, but changed the name to Valley Bank of Nevada in 2011. Unlike many small banks and credit unions, Valley Bank of Nevada survived the recession of 2008; and did so without government bailout money.

Valley Bank of Nevada helped local businesses during the Great Recession by completing loan workouts for borrowers who desired to repay their debts. In 2020, Valley Bank of Nevada helped to save over 3,300 jobs by providing Payroll Protection Program (PPP) loans funded with their own capital. Valley Bank of Nevada is known for providing business and consumer banking services designed to restore the traditional values of service and quality that the banking industry was built on.
